01 About this policy
This Cookie Policy is published by Clode LTD, the company behind Potts (“Clode”, “we”, “us”). It applies to the Potts website, marketing surfaces, and product surfaces (potts.ai, meetpotts.com, and connected subdomains). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
It explains: what cookies and similar technologies we use, what we use them for, who places them, how long they last, and the choices you have to accept, refuse, or withdraw consent.
02 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and gather analytics on how the site is used. We also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons, and software development kit (SDK) identifiers — these all work in similar ways and are covered by this policy.
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. First-party cookies are set by us; third-party cookies are set by services we embed (for example, analytics or advertising partners).
03 Legal basis & consent
We rely on two legal frameworks for cookie use in the UK and EU:
- The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) in the UK and the equivalent national implementations of the ePrivacy Directive in the EU; and
- The UK GDPR and EU GDPR where cookies process personal data.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent — they are loaded automatically because the site or product cannot function without them. For all other categories (functional, analytics, marketing), we ask for your consent via our cookie banner before setting non-essential cookies. You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie preferences control on this page.
04 Categories we use
Authentication, session management, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. The site cannot work properly without these.
Remember preferences such as theme, language, and dismissed banners. Off by default for some surfaces; turning these off may degrade your experience.
Help us understand how the site and product are used so we can improve them (e.g., pageviews, click paths, feature adoption). Aggregated wherever possible.
Measure ad performance, attribute signups to referral channels, and (where you opt in) personalise ads on partner platforms. Off by default in the UK/EU.

08 Browser controls
Most browsers let you block, delete, or be alerted about cookies. The exact steps depend on your browser; vendor instructions:
You can also use industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance, Your Online Choices (EU), or the Network Advertising Initiative to opt out of interest-based advertising across many networks.
Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the site from working — for example, you may not be able to stay signed in.
09 Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret DNT, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We do, however, honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: when a GPC signal is detected on our website, we treat it as an opt-out from non-essential cookies and from any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to applicable law. The “Effective” date at the top of this page indicates when the latest version took effect. Material changes will be highlighted via our cookie banner.
